I’ll never forget sitting at my desk, staring at a computer screen for hours, questioning my purpose. Throughout childhood I found my deepest expression of life and joy in painting. Yet, here I sat, doing a job I couldn’t stand, working for someone else’s dream, all the while questioning if following MY dream would ever be possible. What you see here is a result of me taking a chance on myself, and stepping into WHO I was meant to BE. 

My name is Christina Diaz, and I am a self-taught, self-made artist. I have been called to paint, create, and express love vibrantly through contemporary-pop and abstract art. Growing up in South Florida, it is fair to say I quickly fell in love with bright, neon colors. These colors emanate an energy of freedom, authenticity, and originality. In a world that has become automated I aim to shock the senses and ignite deep emotional reactions that empower, elevate, and excite the human spirit. My art is not just paint on a canvas. It is an example to all the dreamers out there who yearn to step into their soul’s calling. It is a message to the little artist inside that says “it’s ok to come out and play, you’re meant to be here, and your expression matters.”

My mission.

I absolutely love painting portraits of icons and music legends. Why you ask? Legends are people. People who chose to follow their heart. A point came in their lives when they realized what truly makes them feel alive; their true purpose. Instead of putting their gift aside they claimed it and let it shine. I believe we all have something inside that sets our soul on fire. We all have unique gifts the world needs to see. So why do I paint legends? It’s an invitation to step into the LEGEND you were born to be!.
